Eye Tracking Study: Race Categorization

This clip certainly reinforces what we talked about in class; the way that our eyes move when we are trying to read a face. We mostly look at the eyes, the nose, and the mouth. I thought was interesting is that it was mostly done in smooth motion. From the eyes, to the nose, to the mouth and back up. The only not smooth or saccade movement was when the person looked at the words. Our eyes seem very trained in the way we study faces.

I also found it interesting to view this clip and then notice how our eyes move when we are trying to read a face. I also noticed that the only time our eyes strayed from this normal habit was when the face disappeared and our eyes jumped to read the words at the top of the page.
