Welcome to the Cognitive Psychology hybrid class. We would like you to spend a little time orienting yourself with the class blog site. Please read the course description on the 'Home Page.' http://www.psychologicalscience.com/cog/

Next go to the 'Blog' and check out the types of assignments you will be doing over the semester.

http://www.psychologicalscience.com/cog/blog/

We will be using the book "Cognitive Psychology"

Look over the 'Syllabus' pages and make sure you understand what we will be doing this semester as it relates to the syllabus (Class schedule, Course Requirements, & Grading rubrics).

You should already have a temporary blog username and password for you to use, if not please email Dr. MacLin to get yours (or to have him resend yours - otto.maclin@uni.edu). You will receive an email later in the week showing you how to get a permanent username and password.

Now click on the comment link (above), sign in using the temporary username and password and leave a comment. Since you are using a temporary username make sure to put your initials at the top of your comment entry so we know it is yours.

In your comment, please state that that you basically went through the website, home page, syllabus, online book. That you understand the class schedule & course requirements; that you read through, and understand, all the sections of the syllabus.

Thanks!

The link to the class schedule would not work for me. Other than that I have looked through the website and additional links and understand them all.

SIM

The link to the class schedule wouldn't work for me either. I was also curious about the course requirements part of the syllabus. It discussed Behavior Modification and Sensation & Perception, but not our course. I assume that as another hybrid course the guidelines would still be the same though.

I looked through the rest of the website, the homepage, the additional books we'll need, and the contact information. There was nothing else confusing to me at this time.

I.B.

Except for the course schedule, which I could not access, I read over everything and understand the layout of the course. I look forward to an informative semester.

TT
Again course schedule isn't working. Also I was looking through the other links on the syllabus and saw that these were the required textbooks:
Anthropologist on Mars
Memory Observed
Cognitive Psychology - Any recent cognitive psychology text
When I typed in this class on the UNI bookstore website it said we only needed the cognitive psychology book so that was all I got. Next under the grading I noticed it was a bit different than Bmod, and history and systems in that there will be 3 tests and a final so I was a little surprised by this and was wondering if it was accurate. Other than all of this I read over everything, understand the layout and what is expected of me. I look forward to learning more about cognitive psychology with this course.

KF

I was also unable to access the course schedule but I have read and understand what is required and look forward to a fun semester.

KT

I was unable to get to the class schedule. I have read and understand the rest of the material posted. Although the syllabus was for another class I understand it I hope to be able to attend the class.

CT
I, like everyone else, was unable to access the course schedule. I was able to read the rest of the material. I look forward to taking this class. I have taken History and Systems with you and I am taking BMod as well this semester.

MRG

I was unable to access the course schedule. Other than that, I have read and understand what is required for the course, contact information, the homepage, and additional resources needed. I look forward to a challenging semester.

OM

I was unable to get access to the course schedule. I have read and understand everything.

M.B.D

I have read over everything. I understand everything except I am also unable to view the course schedule. There are also dates, times, and classroom numbers that are different than our the material for the Cognitive Psychology class. There are things under the syllabus tab that apply to Behavior and Modification and Sensation Perception, but there isn't information for Cognitive Psychology.

N.M.S.

I have read through the syllabus, grading rubric and required book list for the course. As others have mentioned, I was not able to access the schedule but otherwise understand what is expected of me as a student in this course.

JMW
I could not see the course schedule either, otherwise I have looked over everything and I have no questions.

M.S.

Like everyone else, I was unable to see the course schedule. I have gone through the syllabus, the website, and the home page and understand what is expected of me.

M.E.

I went through the website and homepage. I was also unable to access the class schedule but I read through and understand the course requirements and the other sections of the syllabus.

A.E.L.M

I went through the website and the homepages. I was unable to look at the class schedule but I see that others have also have not been able to see this as of right now. I have thoroughly read and understand the course and requirements and the other sections of the syllabus and know what is expected of me.

JMM
I was unable to access the Syllabus Schedule link but everything else worked great. I read and understood the course requirements and your expectations.

S.V.
I could not see the course schedule, but I understand the blog.

JPD
The course schedule is still down but I read everything else and understand what is expected.

JAF
The course schedule is not working for me, but I was able to navigate the rest of the website successfully.

T.L. I went through the website and the course schedule was down. I was able to navigate the rest of the website. I have taken history and systems, so I think I have an idea of how the course is set up. I look forward to taking cognitive psychology.

JMW

I was able to navigate the website just fine. Again, I think you have gotten the point that the course schedule is down. Also, are the two books listed (Anthropologist on Mars and the Memory one) really required material? They were not listed under the course catalog on MyUNIverse.

M.P.

I was able to go through the website with very little issues which were similar to the other people. I looked at all the links and understand how the class, and assignments are set up. I do not have any questions currently at the moment on the material or class set up.

EDE
Well I got it to this late cause I signed up on Thursday but I don't have any questions

EVL

I went through the class website and I fully understand the material provided. This comment is late because I recently decided to take this course.

I've read everything and fully understand how the class works. I know this is a little bit too late but I am trying to catch up with everything.
